My name is Scott Barber and I am the president and CEO of Scott Barber Apparel, maker of fine men’s casual wear available in more than 400 men’s specialty stores and through ScottBarber.com.
I grew up in the small town of Wellman, Iowa and cut my teeth in the apparel business working at Perkins Shearer, a men’s specialty clothing store, while I attended college at Colorado State University. From there, I spent time working for Southwick Clothing and Ferrell Reed, a neckwear and dress-shirt brand. In 1995, I founded Scott Barber Apparel. As president and CEO, I lead all product design and development—work that frequently takes me across the world to meet and collaborate with different fabric producers, partners and manufacturers.
I currently live in Fort Collins, Colo. along with my wife, Tonya and our two children, Amanda and Charlie. In my free time I collect and drive vintage cars and motorcycles, sail, ski and fly from time to time (little known fact: I may have been the youngest licensed pilot ever in the state of Iowa—I had my pilot’s license before I had my driver’s license!). And, when I travel, I love visiting Italy.
